How we compared
- 15 criteria in four groups: channels, selling, launch and integrations, and price. We picked what decides a lead's fate: where customers call and message, whether the agent can sell, how fast it launches and what it costs.
- Transfer to a manager is a criterion of its own. In our data about 20% of callers ask to be connected to a person, and in Five9's research 83% of consumers still have to repeat themselves at least sometimes after being transferred. More in How often callers ask for a human.
- Competitor information comes from their official websites, checked on 7 October 2026. “Not stated” means we didn't find it on the site: the feature may exist, so check with the vendor.
- What we didn't do: we didn't test competitors' products from the inside or compare voice quality — that depends on your scenarios. How to check it in a day is at the end of the article.

What the matrix shows. All four handle calls, qualification, human transfer and no-code setup, so those don't separate them. The difference is in messaging and sales logic: Sales Workshop is the only one whose site lists WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram and website chat for the same agent, and the only one that states sales scripts and objection handling generated for your product. Our weakest spot is outbound: mass cold calling is only on Enterprise and there are no voice broadcasts — here Bland AI, which is built for high-volume calling, is clearly stronger.
What it costs: pricing models and a worked example
| Platform | How you pay | Published price | What to keep in mind |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sales Workshop | Monthly plan + minutes and messages used | Basic (chat) from $144/mo, PRO with voice from $683/mo | Fixed rates within the plan; 20% off when paid quarterly |
| Bland AI | Per minute, optional platform fee | $0.14/min (Start) or $299/mo + $0.12/min (Build) | Transfer time billed separately; Start allows 10 concurrent calls and 100 calls a day |
| Retell AI | Pay as you go, per minute | $0.07–$0.31/min | Per-minute add-ons such as the knowledge base (+$0.005); $10 free credits |
| Synthflow | Enterprise contract | From $30,000 a year | Scoped by volume, concurrency, telephony, integrations and security |
What 3,000 call minutes a month cost
≈ 1,000 calls of 3 minutes. For Sales Workshop: the PRO plan with its minimum message volume (1,000 a month).
- Sales Workshop$623
Includes messaging, sales scripts, CRM integration and analytics
- Retell AI$210–$930
$0.07–$0.31 per minute depending on LLM, voice and telephony; building the agent is up to you
- Bland AI · Start$420
$0.14 × 3,000 minutes; 10 concurrent calls, up to 100 calls a day
- Bland AI · Build$659
$299 platform fee + $0.12 × 3,000 minutes; 50 concurrent calls
- Synthflowfrom $2,500
Enterprise from $30,000 a year, implementation included
How to read it. Per minute, Retell AI and Bland AI Start are cheaper: if you have engineers to design the conversation logic, integrations and reporting, that's a real saving. Sales Workshop costs $623 for the same volume, but that already includes messaging and sales logic, and paying quarterly cuts the price by 20%. Bland AI Build and Synthflow cost more for the same minutes. Whatever you choose, ask the vendor these questions.
- What does a minute include: speech recognition, voice synthesis, the LLM, telephony?
- Is there a platform fee or a monthly minimum?
- Who builds and changes the scenarios, and what does that cost?
- Are messaging channels, phone numbers and CRM integrations billed separately?
- How does the price change if call volume doubles?
Platform breakdown
Sales Workshop — an AI sales rep for calls and messaging
We know our own product from the inside, so here are specifics. The agent answers a lead within 10–30 seconds and runs hundreds of conversations in parallel. In July 2026 we made the voice agent respond twice as fast, so conversations flow without awkward pauses. About 20% of callers ask for a manager, so since April 2026 the agent transfers the call to a person mid-conversation, and the manager sees who is calling and what has been discussed.
Strengths
- Voice plus WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram and website chat in one agent
- Sales scripts, objection handling and restrictions generated for your product, with follow-ups
- The lead card fills itself during the call; hot leads go to the CRM and Telegram
- Published pricing; 20% off when paid quarterly
Watch out for
- Higher cost per minute than pay-as-you-go infrastructure such as Retell AI or Bland AI
- No voice broadcasts; outbound is trigger-based and cold calling is only on Enterprise
- The voice agent starts on PRO; Basic is chat only
Bland AI — voice AI for high-volume calling
A voice AI platform for inbound and outbound calls, with web chat and SMS on higher plans. Bland reports 400 ms latency against a 1,240 ms industry average and support for 40+ languages (the company's own figures). Agents can be built “with no experience”, and enterprise customers get forward-deployed engineers who build the first agent end to end.
Strengths
- Clear per-minute pricing that includes the LLM, transcription and voices
- Warm transfer, follow-ups and Salesforce and HubSpot integrations
- 40+ languages, by the company's figures
Watch out for
- WhatsApp, Telegram and Instagram aren't listed on the site
- Sales scripts and objection handling aren't described — the logic is yours to design
- The Start plan is capped at 10 concurrent calls and 100 calls a day
Retell AI — voice-agent infrastructure
A voice-agent platform with a no-code studio, an API and web and in-app chat. Pricing is pay as you go at $0.07–$0.31 per minute; new accounts get $10 in free credits and 20 concurrent calls. Retell reports about 600 ms latency (the company's own figure) and lets a person monitor calls live and take over.
Strengths
- The lowest published entry price per minute in this comparison
- Live monitoring and human takeover
- No-code studio plus API, with FDE-led implementation available
Watch out for
- Messaging is limited to web and in-app chat on the site
- Per-minute add-ons such as the knowledge base raise the price
- Sales logic is yours to design
Synthflow — enterprise voice AI
Enterprise voice AI with a visual flow designer, CRM integrations (HubSpot, Salesforce, GoHighLevel), SMS follow-ups and escalation to humans. The pricing page lists an enterprise package from $30,000 a year that includes implementation, onboarding and training; the company reports 500M+ calls handled (its own figure).
Strengths
- Implementation, onboarding and training included in the package
- WhatsApp integration and SMS follow-ups
- A broad set of CRM integrations
Watch out for
- The entry point is $30,000 a year
- Telegram, Instagram and website chat aren't stated on the site
- Forward-deployed engineers launch agents “in weeks”, by the company's description
Where Sales Workshop is stronger
- The most criteria confirmed in the matrix — 13 of 15, versus 11 for Bland AI and 10 each for Retell AI and Synthflow.
- The only platform in this comparison whose site lists voice plus WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram and website chat for one agent — customers pick the channel, and the agent takes them to a deal.
- Sales logic out of the box: scripts and objections are generated for your product, follow-ups are included, and the lead card fills itself during the call.
- Transfer to a manager on the same call, keeping the caller's number — see our guide to transferring calls from AI to a human.
- Flat, published pricing: Basic from $144/mo, PRO with voice from $683/mo.
When another platform is the better choice
- You have engineers, want full control of the stack and the lowest cost per minute — Retell AI or Bland AI.
- You run very high-volume outbound calling built in-house — Bland AI.
- You need an enterprise contract with an SLA, a security review and managed implementation — Synthflow.
How to test a platform on your own calls in one day
- Make 10 test calls using your own scenarios — from a price question to a “too expensive” objection.
- Time the pause before each answer: the more noticeable it is, the more often callers ask for a person.
- Interrupt the agent mid-sentence — it should stop and answer the new question.
- Ask something that isn't in the knowledge base: the right answer is to admit it and offer a manager, not to make something up.
- Say “put me through to a manager” and check that the call arrives and the manager sees the number and context.
- Open the CRM after the call: is the lead card filled in, with a recording and a summary?
- Message the agent after the call — does it remember what you talked about?
- Work out the cost of one conversation: minutes × rate + platform fee + build and changes.
Bottom line
All four platforms use AI on calls, so choose by the job. For engineers who want the cheapest minutes, Retell AI or Bland AI; for enterprise procurement with implementation, Synthflow. If your goal is more deals from the leads you already have, and your customers both call and message, Sales Workshop gives you a finished AI sales rep with published pricing and a launch that needs no engineers. How an AI agent differs from classic robocalls is covered in Robocalls or an AI agent.
